Hamilton hopes Vettel battle won't be "a season of strategy"

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton hopes that the 2017 Formula 1 title battle won't be dominated by strategy calls, as the Briton yearns for an on-track showdown. Hamilton was defeated by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel in the season opener in Australia, the German's victory having come down to a well-executed strategy that allowed him to beat his rival without passing him on-track. And while Hamilton admits he enjoyed the Melbourne battle, he is more keen on a wheel-to-wheel fight. "When he came out of the pits, that was exciting for me," Hamilton recalled.
