Most pundits are tipping the 2017 Formula 1 title battle to be fought between Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton after Melbourne - but Valentin Khorounzhiy argues another driver is well-positioned to make it a three-way fight. Amid doubts over quality of racing, the early struggles of championship hopefuls Red Bull and the evident gulf that remains between the top three and the midfield, Formula 1 really was rather fortunate that the Australian GP weekend came together to foreshadow a genuinely close title contest between Mercedes and Ferrari.
