Daniel Ricciardo: “Not the weekend I wanted at home”
The Australian Grand Prix weekend did not go to plan for home hero Daniel Ricciardo, who after crashing out of qualifying on Saturday was forced to retire from the race with engine related issues. The Red Bull Racing driver had started the race two laps down after stopping on track on the way to the grid with a sensor issue, with his mechanics working hard to get him back into the race, only for his race to end after just twenty-five laps due to another mechanical issue on his RB13. “Not the weekend I wanted at home,” said Ricciardo. “For all these things to happen at my home race that’s probably the most frustrating thing. “We were on the back foot already after the crash in...
