Paddy Lowe joins Williams as chief technical officer

Williams has confirmed the appointment of Paddy Lowe as chief technical officer, following his Mercedes exit at the end of last year. Lowe starts work at Williams today (Thursday), taking over the management of the engineering operation at the Formula 1 team’s Grove base. He has also joined the Board of Directors for the company and taken a shareholding in Williams. Lowe moved to Williams after scoring three drivers’ and constructors’ titles with Mercedes, having joined the team as its executive director (technical) in 2013.
