Raikkonen fastest on wet-to-dry tyre test day
Barcelona Testing – Kimi Raikkonen was fastest on the final day of the first pre-season test with a time of 1:20.872. The track was soaked before the morning session, and again during the lunch break, to allow further testing on the wet and intermediate tyre, and to see how each tyre behaves during the crossover points between the compounds. The wet-to-dry nature of the day meant running was largely done on the soft tyre, so Valtteri Bottas’ 1:19.705 from Wednesday remains the fastest time of testing so far. Drivers first ventured out on the full wet tyre on which Raikkonen had a spin at Turn 13, just keeping his Ferrari out of the barriers. The intermediates were quickly brought out...
