Bottas: Turn 9 scare due to gust of wind
– Valtteri Bottas says that a gust of wind caused his wild moment during the second day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.Bottas, having taken over from team-mate Lewis Hamilton, spent the afternoon working through race simulations in the Mercedes W08, racking up 102 laps.But television footage, captured by FOM cameras, revealed a scare at the high-speed Turn 9, where Bottas lost control of his car, slid back across track and brushed the barriers.Explaining the incident, he commented: "I had a small off but it wasn't anything serious; I lost the rear end with a gust of tail wind that was quite sudden."This is testing, you need to find the...
