McLaren hark back to origins at MCL32 launch

McLaren launched its 2017 challenger the MCL32 at the McLaren Thought Leadership Centre, unveiling a new orange livery akin to the original 1960s colours. Notable differences to other cars seen this week include the chunky winglets on the nose and the extra detailing on the rear wing. However, like the vast majority of 2017 cars launched thus far, the new McLaren features a shark fin on the rear bodywork. The livery and name changes at McLaren are signs of Ron Dennis’ exit from the team, with senior management seeing a shake-up as a result.
