Lewis Hamilton unveils helmet design competition winner
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has unveiled the winning entry from his 2017 Formula 1 helmet design competition. The three-time F1 champion opened up his 2017 helmet design to fans and previously announced over 8,000 entries had been logged in just a few weeks. Current regulations mean Hamilton’s helmet will remain the same throughout the F1 season, although each driver is allowed a one-off special at a race. The design chosen by Hamilton is similar to his previous design but features more red and yellow, with the Brazilian colours being added as a tribute to his F1 hero Ayrton Senna. “Here it is,” Hamilton said in a post on Instagram. “The winning helmet design, a...
