Renault signs ex-RBR man as aero chief

– Renault has announced that Pete Machin is to join the team as Head of Aerodynamics.Machin worked at Red Bull on wind tunnel development of the title-winning RB6, RB7, RB8 and RB9 cars, having joined under the Jaguar guise, and was previously Senior CFD Engineer at Arrows.Jon Tomlinson will become Deputy Head of Aerodynamics, reporting to Machin."It is clear that Renault Sport is serious about mounting a fresh challenge within Formula 1 and I am happy to join the team," commented Machin, who will officially start work at Enstone on July 3."Bob Bell headed-up the technical team when Renault last won championships as a constructor, so I'm very much looking forward to...
