Vettel a ‘sensible option for Mercedes' – Nico Rosberg

FIA Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg considers fellow German driver Sebastian Vettel a potential candidate for Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team's 2018 line up. Vettel was considered a likely successor to Rosberg after he announced his retirement from the sport. Instead the vacancy was filled by then Williams Martini Racing's driver Valtteri Bottas. But Rosberg is not ruling out seeing Vettel in a Silver Arrow, especially as Bottas' contract is reportedly only a year long. 'Vettel's Ferrari contract ends this year, he'd be a sensible option for Mercedes and one that I'm sure they'll contemplate,' Rosberg told La Repubblica.
