Honda's new approach 'very high risk'

– Honda's Formula 1 chief, Yusuke Hasegawa, has admitted that the manufacturer's decision to adopt an all-new approach with its 2017-specification engine involves "very high risk".Honda endured a tough return to F1 with McLaren in 2015 and, while it made steady improvements through 2016, remained adrift of engine rivals Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault.However, for 2017, manufacturers have been given freedom to overhaul their units and bring updates to the track as they wish, after the controversial token system was scrapped.McLaren technical chief Tim Goss recently revealed that Honda has "redesigned" its power unit, with engine architecture and layout altered to...
