Pirelli abandons wet test after Vettel crash

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has been forced to abandon the second day of its wet-tyre test at Fiorano, with Ferrari's mule car requiring lengthy repairs after Sebastian Vettel crashed out on Thursday.Pirelli had been granted two extra days of running, ahead of official pre-season testing, to trial experimental rubber aimed at the 2018 season, using Ferrari's mule car on an artificially soaked track.However, after completing around 40 laps, Vettel went off at Turn 7, his car snapping to the right and sliding into the barriers; while the German was unharmed, the SF15-T was significantly damaged.Pirelli has now confirmed that it has cancelled the second test day, as repairs...
