Sauber: Wehrlein undergoing medical checks

Sauber have stated that Pascal Wehrlein is still undergoing medical examinations for injuries sustained in a scary crash at this year's Race of Champions (ROC), while playing down speculation that their new driver will not be fit for the first Formula 1 pre-season test. Wehrlein withdrew from ROC Nations Cup in Miami, Florida, after losing control of his three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot, flipping dangerously over the barriers while racing Felipe Massa in a similar car. Sauber have confirmed that Wehrlein's fitness is still being moniored ahead of the 27 February test in Barcelona.
