McLaren: Alonso 'the best in the world'
– Double Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso is "the best driver in the world" and remains fully committed to McLaren, according to Zak Brown, the company's new Executive Director.Alonso returned to McLaren in 2015, for the team's reunion with Honda, but below-par machinery – albeit gradually improving – has restricted him to relatively minor points finishes.Brown, though, has talked up McLaren-Honda's chances for 2017, the third year of their latest spell together, and reckons he has the strongest driver on the grid to pilot the MP4-32."First of all, I want to correct you: I don't see Fernando as disillusioned at all," said Brown, when it was put to him...
