Hungaroring to host in-season Formula 1 testing

Formula 1 in-season testing will take place at the Hungaroring this year, circuit officials have confirmed to Motorsport Week. Since regulations were relaxed in 2014, in-season testing has taken place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after selected Grands Prix. This has traditionally been held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, while Silverstone, the Red Bull Ring and Sakhir have all hosted in-season testing across the past three years. For 2017, Sakhir will host the first test, rather than Barcelona, in order to assist Pirelli with warm weather tyre development, after the sport once more opted to hold both pre-season sessions in Spain.
