Smedley's role at Williams to include longer term development

©WRI2 Williams' performance chief Rob Smedley will be broadening his role in 2017, which will include a handle on medium-to-long term development. The man responsible for overseeing the Grove-based outfit's performance  at races admitted last year that after a few lean  years Williams required an outlook that extended beyond the medium term if it wanted to move up the running order.
