Liberty hands Brawn key Formula 1 role
– Liberty Media has appointed ex-Formula 1 Team Principal Ross Brawn to the newly-created role of Managing Director, Motor Sports, after completing its takeover of the sport.Liberty's confirmed that its takeover had been completed on Monday, with Chase Carey replacing Bernie Ecclestone as CEO, and Ecclestone being made Chairman Emeritus.Brawn, a highly-successful technical chief at Benetton, Ferrari and his own eponymous outfit, will focus on the sporting side, after acting as a consultant for Liberty in recent months.Meanwhile, Sean Bratches, labelled as "one of N's most influential leaders" by Liberty, with 27 years of marketing experience, will take on a similar role on...
