Renault overhauls ERS for 2017 F1 power unit

Renault is to introduce a second generation Energy Recovery System (ERS) this year as part of a radical overhaul of its Formula 1 power unit. The French car manufacturer has been working on a complete redesign for 2017, after feeling that the engine it had used for the past three years had reached the end of its development potential.
