2017 F1 car designs "very immature" - Williams

Outgoing Williams technical chief Pat Symonds says the development of 2017 Formula 1 cars is "very immature" given the lack of wind tunnel time. Next year will mark the start of a new era for the sport, with big rule changes introduced with the aim of making the cars five seconds per lap faster and more challenging to drive. However, the regulations were finalised late and teams did not get the wind tunnel tyres - much wider next year - until February, meaning development time has been reduced significantly compared to previous rule changes of this magnitude.
