Pirelli has prepared back-up compound for 2017

 XPB Images Pirelli has prepared a back-up tyre compound for 2017 in case it needs "to respond to any particular requirements" of next season's F1 cars. New aerodynamic regulations in 2017 will be introduced in an attempt to make cars five seconds per lap faster. The new regulations also include wider tyres, giving Pirelli a challenge to ensure the rubber provides the required step forward in performance as well as being able to deal with the increased aerodynamic loads.
