Giovinazzi to join Ferrari as third driver

– Antonio Giovinazzi, who finished runner-up in his rookie GP2 campaign, will join Ferrari as a third driver for the 2017 season, according to the brand's President, Sergio Marchionne.Italian racer Giovinazzi, 22, took five victories and three further podiums en-route to second in the GP2 standings, just eight points behind Red Bull-backed Prema team-mate Pierre Gasly.Giovinazzi was given an outing in Ferrari's Formula 1 simulator in September, when he did not hold an official role, but Marchionne has now confirmed that he will link up with the team.Giovinazzi will provide back-up to Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen."We have taken Giovinazzi because he is a very good driver...
