Haas stuck to budget in rookie season

– Haas team boss Guenther Steiner says that the squad's alternate business model was vindicated as it stuck to its planned budget throughout its maiden campaign in Formula 1.Haas entered the sport with assistance from Ferrari, using the brand's power units, gearboxes and a range of other components, and also worked with chassis manufacturer Dallara.Romain Grosjean claimed standout sixth- and fifth-place finishes at the first two races, and ended the year on 29 points, enough for Haas to take eighth in the championship standings.When asked if he had to approach team owner Gene Haas for money over the course of the season, Steiner responded: "We didn't, we made a budget and we...
