Pirelli concludes 2017 tyre testing in Abu Dhabi

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has completed its planned pre-2017 test programme after Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull conducted running at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.Pirelli has been carrying out private test sessions with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull taking it in turns to sample the 2017 tyres, which will be 25 per cent wider front and rear than the current specification.The programme concluded with all three teams in action at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix venue on Tuesday, with 331 laps, equivalent to six race distances, completed by five drivers.Lewis Hamilton was in action for Mercedes, before withdrawing due to illness, with Pascal Wehrlein stepping into the modified...
