Unwell Lewis Hamilton pulls out of Pirelli tyre test early

Lewis Hamilton has pulled out of Pirelli's latest Formula 1 2017 tyre test due to feeling 'unwell', according to Mercedes. The Briton got to sample Pirelli's newest development tyres on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, but after just a handful of laps, he was replaced by reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein, with Mercedes confirming the switch was due to Hamilton feeling unwell. It follows Hamilton's decision to pull out of the previous tyre test in Barcelona in October due to a sore foot. Wehrlein has completed the majority of running for Mercedes during the tests, although Nico Rosberg got to brieflty sample them earlier this year before rain brought the test to an early end.
