Monza finalises new Italian GP contract

The Monza circuit has secured the future of the Italian Grand Prix after finally signing a new deal to retain the Formula 1 race. After months of uncertainty about the future of the race, Monza chiefs announced in August that an agreement had been provisionally reached to extend the current deal until 2019. The finer details were still being finalised, but on Tuesday Monza announced the contract has finally been signed. "The renewal of the contract for the [Italian Grand Prix] at Monza has been signed," the circuit announced on Twitter.
