Nico Rosberg: “I came here to be on pole”

Nico Rosberg admitted to being disappointed not to take pole position for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after ending 0.303 seconds shy of team-mate Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team racer wanted to be on pole position for the season finale as he bids to clinch his maiden World Drivers’ Championship, which he would do with a podium finish on Sunday, but still feels he can fight for the victory at the Yas Marina Circuit. “I came here to be on pole, so I'm not ecstatic today,” said Rosberg. “I was feeling good in the car today and put in some good laps at the end.
