Hamilton claims pole for title decider – Qualifying Report

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton has claimed pole position for the championship showdown ahead of team mate and title rival Nico Rosberg. The Brit laid down a marker straight away in Q1, with his one and only lap time of the session immediately being as fast as what he managed in FP3, and was the only driver to get into the 1:39s. The time was eight tenths of a second quicker than his closest challengers at Ferrari, with Rosberg a full second behind having made two mistakes on his lap. Further back it was the two Toro Rossos who were the major Q1 dropouts, with Daniil Kvyat seventeenth and Carlos Sainz on the back row, ahead only of Marcus Ericsson. The team had been suffering...
