Hockenheim confirms no German GP in 2017

– Hockenheim circuit chief Georg Seiler has confirmed that there will not be a German Grand Prix next year, with talks failing to produce an agreement, meaning the season is now set to run over 20 races.Hockenheim was given a provisional slot on the 2017 calendar, but the track quickly stated that it would only host the event again under certain financial conditions.After lengthy talks, Seiler stated on Thursday that Hockenheim has not struck a deal with Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, and that it will thus drop off the roster."There was no offer which excluded all of the economic risks," Seiler is quoted as saying by German publication Auto Bild, as he addressed the...
