Montréal confirms deal for 2017 F1 race

– Officials in Montréal have confirmed that the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve will continue to host a round of the Formula 1 championship in 2017.Montréal signed a 10-year deal with the Commercial Rights Holder in 2014 but next season's race was listed as provisional on the first draft of the 2017 calendar.However, Montréal's Mayor Denis Coderre took to Twitter to confirm that an agreement had been reached for a further season.[We have an] agreement in principle with FOWC [Formula One World Championship] and Octane [the race promoters]," he confirmed."There will be a Grand Prix of Canada in 2017."A statement on the circuit's official website confirmed that tickets for...
