Sauber names Ericsson for 2017, leaves Nasr waiting

Marcus Ericsson may not have scored for Sauber this season but the Swede will race for the Swiss team for the second straight year regardless. The 26-year-old, who made his debut with Caterham in 2014, is set for his fourth Formula One season. The future of his teammate Felipe Nasr, who scored vital points for the team in the Brazilian Grand Prix, remains uncertain. Sauber added in a statement that its second driver 'will be announced in due course.' Nasr has outscored Ericsson in each of the seasons the two have been paired together.
