Mercedes duo play it safe with Abu Dhabi tyre choice

Playing it safe, title rivals Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have adopted similar tyre strategies for next weekend's Desert showdown. While Mercedes bosses hope and pray that the title fight will not be decided by a technical failure, Hamilton and Rosberg have gone for the same tyre choices. Along with Ferrari, Williams, Toro Rosso, McLaren and Haas, the Silver Arrows drivers will take seven sets of the ultrasoft rubber. While Nico Hulkenberg opts for eight sets of the purple-banded tyres, the German unusually adopting the most aggressive of strategies, most others opt for six sets.
