Hamilton hopes Brazil retains Grand Prix

– Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says he hopes that the Brazilian Grand Prix remains on the Formula 1 calendar into 2017, but is aware of the costs involved in hosting the event.Brazil has hosted a round of the Formula 1 championship every year since 1973 – only Monaco, Britain and Italy have a longer unbroken spell – but its status on the 2017 schedule is provisional.Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone last week visited Brazilian President Michel Temer and Hamilton is hopeful the race will remain on the roster next season.The Briton, though, is also wary that the funds used to hold the Formula 1 event could also be used to assist in other sectors."Obviously I'm aware of the...
