Force India says signing Ocon 'very close call'

– Force India has described its decision to sign Esteban Ocon as Sergio Pérez's team-mate for the 2017 season, over fellow Mercedes-supported Pascal Wehrlein, as "a very close call".Ocon (20) and Wehrlein (22), currently team-mates at Manor, were evaluated by Force India's management for the seat, made vacant by Nico Hülkenberg, who is joining manufacturer Renault.Force India deputy team boss Bob Fernley, speaking to Sky Sports about the process, admitted that it was tough to choose between the pair, with owner Vijay Mallya making the final call."It was a very close call, but Esteban just came out on top," Fernley explained."We've always had a very clear...
