Magnussen joins Grosjean at Haas for 2017

Haas completed its 2017 line-up by signing Kevin Magnussen to drive alongside Romain Grosjean, the American team announced on Friday. Currently with Renault, which named Nico Hulkenberg and Jolyon Palmer as its drivers for next year, the Dane decided to move on after the French manufacturer offered him only a year's extension on his contract. The 24-year-old took that as a sign of not being part of the team's long-term plan and opted to move on as Haas offered him a multi-year deal. Magnussen made his Formula One debut with McLaren in 2014, standing on the podium in his maiden race, before being dropped at the end of year.
