Ocon joins Force India on multi-year deal

– Mercedes protégé and current Manor driver Esteban Ocon will switch to Force India for the 2017 campaign, alongside incumbent Sergio Pérez, after signing a "multi-year deal" with the Silverstone outfit.Ocon, 20, has been backed by Mercedes for a couple of years and claimed successive titles in European Formula 3 and GP3, before earning a mid-season graduation to Formula 1 with Manor.Ocon had been touted as a potential Renault driver, having previously been affiliated with Enstone under its Lotus guise, and spent the opening half of 2016 as the team's test and reserve driver.However, Ocon has instead filled the vacancy alongside Pérez at Force India, which opened when...
