Renault keep Palmer; Magnussen ousted

Brazilian Grand Prix – Renault Sport F1 have confirmed that their second seat in 2017 will be occupied by current race driver Jolyon Palmer. He will partner the already signed Nico Hulkenberg. Renault were one of the few remaining teams with seats still unconfirmed as the season ticks into its closing weeks. Having signed up Nico Hulkenberg recently, departing Force India for the Enstone team, all eyes were on Renault to see which of their current race drivers would be kept on. While Kevin Magnussen has arguably been the stronger driver in 2016, having scored 7 of their 8 points this year, Renault have opted to keep Jolyon Palmer.
