Ecclestone casts fresh doubt over German Grand Prix place
The place of the German Grand Prix on the 2017 calendar has been questioned once again as talks continue between Formula One group CEO Bernie Ecclestone, the Nürburgring and the Hockenheimring. Since 2007, an agreement has been in place for the German Grand Prix venue to alternate between the Nürburgring and the Hockenheimring, with the Nürburgring due to hold the 2017 event. However, the cost of hosting a Formula One race at the Nürburgring continues to be a problem, and their place on the 2017 calendar is far from secure, with Bernie Ecclestone ruling out any reductions in hosting fees.
