Pierre Gasly completes 286 laps at two-day Abu Dhabi tyre test
Red Bull junior and GP2 championship contender Pierre Gasly completed 286 laps during a two-day 2017 Pirelli tyre test in Abu Dhabi. Development of Pirelli’s wider 2017 tyres has continued, with Gasly conducting testing for Red Bull once again. The test took place from the 2-3 November. Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull have been helping Pirelli with testing of the tyres, using modified versions of 2015 cars. Running at the Yas Marina Circuit ran into the night, with Gasly managing 286 laps in total on an artificially wet track. He completed running on both the intermediate and wet weather tyre compounds. It was the third and final wet tyre test in Pirelli’s development schedule....
