Brawn plays down Liberty Media involvement

After rumours circulated earlier in the week that Ross Brawn will replace Bernie Ecclestone in the future, the former Ferrari boss has played down his connection with Formula 1’s new owners Liberty Media. Brawn explained that he is merely helping Liberty Media find their feet in the sport and nothing more. When the American company initially announced their takeover, Ecclestone revealed that Chase Carey wanted to him carry on as the boss of Formula 1 for atleast another three years. Quizzed by BBC, Brawn was quick to shoot down any speculation that he is being lined up as Ecclestone's replacement. 'Liberty have not got far enough down the road to make any commitments yet,' he explained....
