Ericsson narrowly misses first 2016 point

– Marcus Ericsson hailed a "strong race" for Sauber as he narrowly missed out on ending Sauber's season-long points drought at the Mexican Grand Prix.Ericsson was involved in a collision at the start when he collided with Pascal Wehrlein, who had been tagged by Esteban Gutiérrez, as the trio approached Turn 3.Ericsson had to pit for a new front wing, having also sustained floor damage, and Sauber also serviced the Swedish driver for fresh tyres, switching from Softs to Mediums.Ericsson completed the remainder of the race without making another stop, coming home in 11th position, his and Sauber's best result of the campaign."It was a strong race," he said....
