Mercedes considered emergency pit-stop for Hamilton after lock-up

Mercedes have revealed that they considered pitting Lewis Hamilton for an emergency pit-stop after the British driver had a big lock-up during the opening lap of the Mexican Grand Prix.  Pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton heavily locked up into Turn 1 during the opening lap of the race, went across the grass, and rejoined in the lead of the Grand Prix — however the regaining champion flat-spotted his Pirelli tyres, and vibrations became a cause for concern.
