Superb Hamilton storms to pole

Lewis Hamilton has secured pole position for the Mexican GP but Nico Rosberg will start the race alongside his title rival. Rosberg was just fourth after the opening Q3 runs but produced his best lap of the weekend in the final seconds of the qualifying hour to join his Mercedes team-mate and title rival on the front row. Rosberg can secure the title this weekend if he wins the race and Hamilton finishes tenth or lower but the German has looked out of sorts throughout proceedings and a distant second best to Hamilton.
