Palmer out of qualifying with cracked chassis

– Jolyon Palmer will not take part in Saturday's qualifying session for the Mexican Grand Prix, with Renault forced to change his cracked chassis following final practice.Palmer placed 14th in FP3, between the McLaren-Honda drivers, and comfortably ahead of team-mate Kevin Magnussen, but will now miss the grid-deciding session.Renault mechanics discovered a chassis crack on his return to the garage and were forced to carry out a change, which could not be completed in time for qualifying.Palmer is thus set to start the race from the back of the grid.
