Magnussen handed time penalty, drops to 12th

The stewards awarded Kevin Magnussen a five-second time penalty after exceeding track limits while overtaking Daniil Kvyat during the United States Grand Prix. The Danish driver was deemed to have overtaken the Toro Rosso off track at Turn 12 in the fight for 11th place during the closing stages of the race. He was handed a five-second time penalty by the stewards, as well as two penalty points on his license.
