Ferrari fined 5,000 for unsafe release Ferrari has been received a 5,000 euros fine for the unsafe release of Kimi Raikkonen during the United States Grand Prix. The Finn forced to stop race after his final pit-stop as a result of a mishandled pitstop. The retirement from the race was bad luck for Raikkonen, who looked set for a fourth-place finish following making his third and final stop of the race. The Stewards investigated the incident after the race and imposed the fine, stating that the team had breached Article 28.13 (c) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations by releasing the car in an unsafe condition.
