Hamilton breaks absolute Austin record to claim pole

Lewis Hamilton has claimed pole position for the United States Grand Prix after breaking the lap record at the Circuit of the Americas, with championship rival Nico Rosberg 0.2s further back. The British driver set a 1.34.999, and was 0.216 clear of Nico Rosberg, whilst the two Red Bull drivers were some half second further back, and down at Ferrari it was a disappointing day, lining up just fifth and sixth.
