Hamilton tops opening US practice session – FP1 Report
United States Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton got his US Grand Prix weekend off to the perfect start by topping the first free practice session. Clear skies and warm temperatures greeted the drivers for the opening free practice session for the United States Grand Prix. The green track, however, meant overall grip was hard to come by, with several drivers experiencing some noticeable under-steer in the slower corners. A regular sight throughout the practice sessions of the 2016 season has been the ‘halo' device, which was trialled once again in Austin.
