Celis gets FP1 outing with Force India in Austin

Force India development driver Alfonso Celis Jr. will get another first practice run with the team at this weekend’s United States Grand Prix. The Mexican will replace compatriot Sergio Perez for FP1 at the Circuit of the Americas, his fifth of the 2016 Formula 1 season. He is currently competing in the Formula V8 3.5 series, holding ninth place in the standings after a podium finish and eight further top 10 finishes. Celis joined Force India as a development driver for this season and has had FP1 appearances in Bahrain, Russia, Austria and Italy.
