Gasly drafted in for Pirelli's Abu Dhabi F1 test

Pierre Gasly has been drafted in for Pirelli's 2017 tyre test with Red Bull at Abu Dhabi from today, as efforts are made to make up for the washout in Barcelona earlier this week. Pirelli is hoping to finalise its slick tyre construction and compounds in the next few weeks, but it lost two valuable days of running with Mercedes at Barcelona thanks to bad weather. Fog, cold temperatures and rain meant that neither Nico Rosberg nor Pascal Wehrlein were able to make much progress in evaluating the wider slick tyres.
