Rosberg gets first taste of 2017 tyres

– Championship leader Nico Rosberg received his first taste of next year's Formula 1 rubber on Wednesday at Spain's Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.Pirelli has been conducting private running since Formula 1's summer break, using modified 2015 cars supplied by Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull respectively.While Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel tested for Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull had previously elected to use test drivers Pascal Wehrlein and Sébastien Buemi to sample the 2017 tyres.Pirelli's tyres next year will be 25 per cent wider at the front and rear, with Rosberg trialling the prototypes at the home of the Spanish Grand Prix on Wednesday.Pirelli confirmed that Rosberg...
